It is nice to know that in some European metropolises - which are not generally known for having low restaurant prices - there are still a few places where one can have a great meal in a wonderful atmosphere and at very affordable rates. Van Harte is one such establishment. Located in Amsterdam's colourful Nine Streets (De Negens Straatijes) district, it offers mainly classics of French and Mediterranean-style cuisine. The chefs are creative and the menu changes regularly, with fresh and seasonal ingredients used as much as possible. A three-course meal costs about 25 EUR.
