Cinema Paradiso

Author: Anothertravelguide.com0 COMMENTS

An Italian restaurant in Amsterdam doesn't strike as anything out of the ordinary. This one is different: it is a swimming pool become cinema become restaurant. At the entrance you are greeted by giant flower arrangements while the glass tiles, red drapes and chandeliers are obvious reminders of the previous owners. Great antipasti and salads. Another peculiarity of the place: Cinema Paradiso does not accept bookings. You may just get lucky - but then again, you may not. Bearing this in mind, the best time to arrive is 6 pm: the restaurant is very popular and practically always full.
