KNSMlaan

KNSM island was once the home of the Netherlands Royal Steamboat Company and is currently the most stylish of all the islands in the Amsterdam Eastern Docklands (Java, Borneo, Sumatra etc.). The future belongs to this still developing neighbourhood, the location of fashion and design showrooms, architect offices, artist studios and residential buildings. It is also the home of KNSM Lane, a shopping complex great in all respects (style- and offer-wise) - a row of conjoined former docklands warehouses. Pol's Potten is an impressive store carrying home and garden design objects covering a wide price range, as well as a choice of lovely and funny souvenirs. Keet in Huis is a heaven's gift to loving parents who wouldn't think of giving their offspring last moment presents bought at the airport. Toys, children's furniture and clothes - you name it, they've got it, pretty, clever and funny. Bulhaupt, the German classic of kitchen design, is also close by.
