One of the most stylish indie clubs in Moscow - a restaurant-café-bar in daytime that becomes a magnet of alternative crowd at night. All sorts of funky folks gather in the refurbished communal flat under the name of Solyanka. Its décor is designed by Kira Grishina, who has picked up all its furniture at British auctions and flea markets, which includes school chairs scribbled upon by British teens. Pretty funky, yet with taste and style, and even weather-worn brick walls and nude light bulbs add some special feel to it.
Internationally known New Rave deejays play there on weekends, while you may hear techno, hip hop and other beats, too. Fusion rules in its kitchen as well, which includes even Mexican and Far East cuisine - nothing outstanding, yet quality is acceptably good. After all, food is not the main reason to check out Solyanka. A perfect location - in the very heart of the city.
