Caixa Forum

It is housed in a converted textile mill, a neo-gothic brick house that was named the best building in Barcelona in 1913. Fundació la Caixa was founded in 1985 by La Caixa Bank by purchasing more than 700 works of art and creating one of the most extensive collections of the late 20th century art in the world. The collection, representing artists form Joseph Beuys , Bruce Nauman and Ilya Kabakov to the star of the contemporary American art Julian Schnabel, is displayed in three separate halls, and the exhibits are changed every three months. The museum also holds exhibitions.
