Abac

Comparing with other European metropolis, Barcelona cannot pride in numerous small and chic boutique-hotels. Therefore, a newly opened Abac restaurant and a hotel, featuring just 15 rooms, located at Mount Tibidabo is quite a rare gem, indeed. Run by a renowned master chef Xavier Pellicer, Michelin starred Abac is one of the best restaurants in Barcelona, famous for its outstanding cuisine. Yet this is not the initial address of the restaurant. Opened in the year 2000, its was located then on a small strolling street Carrer del Rec in the stylish El Born neighborhood, still housing almost all the most charming fashion and design shops of Barcelona. With its new address and elegant, pale beige palette of its décor, Abac definitely makes another step towards luxury and refinement. Every detail is perfectly thought out - starting from little table hooks for ladies purses, black & white Versace crockery to its state-of-the-art cuisine, with fine tastes and style of presentation. The restaurant offers several dining rooms - you can choose a table by a garden view window or a more intimate one, away from inquisitive glances.
Spacious and light Abac hotel rooms feature the same neutral palette as the restaurant. With big windows, overlooking garden, it's a genuine oasis of tranquility, just 10 minutes ride from the city centre, and its top-floor apartments have terraces, too. All the rooms set up with custom-made furniture, ensuring maximum comfort - for example, a turn-down mirror is smartly fitted into a table surface. A centerpiece of a bathroom, kit out with Hermes perfumery, is a large shower cabin. And, of course, such an accommodation is unthinkable without Bang&Olufsen television. The only imperfection, to be mentioned, is lack of a swimming pool. And children below 12 years of age are not allowed there, to ensure that guests can fully enjoy privacy and relaxing ambiance of the hotel.
