Custo Barcelona

Author: Anothertravelguide.com0 COMMENTS

The Andy Warhol of Spanish fashion, famous for its bright and lively T-shirts popular among models and all sorts of cool people, which gives the designers the opportunity to sell simple yet cheerful little T-shirts (100% cotton) for astronomic sums, clearly out of proportion to its actual cost (easy to guess). So typical of modern day cult symbols. The company was founded in 1980 by brothers David and Custo Dalmau. The legend has it that the pair of college dropouts - former undergraduate students of architecture (Custo) and liberal arts (David) - had decided to travel the world Easy Rider-style, on motorbikes. Quite predictably the journey had transformed their life and plans for future. Their travel notes materialised in T-shirt designs; separate women's and men's fashion collections and accessories followed.
