Prince Eugens Waldemarsudde / Prince Eugen’s Museum

The Island of Djurgården's Waldemarsudde (Waldemar Cape) is home to Prince Eugen's Museum of Art, housed in the former prince's residence designed in 1904 by the architect Ferdinand Boberg. The Prince was himself a professionally trained painter, and after his demise in 1947 the building was transformed into a museum; its interesting collection of Scandinavian art spanning the time from the 1880s to the mid-1900s, including works by Prince Eugen and his contemporaries, is displayed against the backdrop of stylish Art Nouveau décor.
