Microcosm, the museum of CERN is dedicated to particle physics and is housed in the institute's building near Geneva. The museum offers an introduction to the objectives of CERN (European Organisation for Nuclear Research) and the basic principles of particle physics as well as the ongoing and upcoming CERN experiments and an opportunity to see a detector of cosmic rays in action and a life-size model of the Large Hadron Collider.
