Botanical Garden and Conservatory

The Geneva Botanical Garden, open year-round, presents one of the world's most comprehensive botanic collections comprising specimens of 16 000 different species. Today the 1904-opened Botanical Garden covers an area of 28 ha divided into a number of sections: the rock garden, arboretum, medicinal herb garden, hothouses, animal park, the „garden of scent and touch", etc. The Conservatory houses a public library and a 5.5 million strong herbarium.
