Le 3 Rive Gauche

The restaurant Le 3 Rive Gauche is sited on one of the most charming streets of Geneva's Old City, famous for the fact that French philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau was born there as well, in 40 Grand Rue. Set in the historic surroundings, Le 3 Rive Gauche sticks out with its distinctly contemporary décor and a creative interpretation of traditional French cuisine. Opened in 2007, it stirred up quite a sensation among local gourmands offering pretty bold gastronomic combinations, for example, foie gras terrine with stewed rhubarb in a pot and mixed salad leaves, or marinated red tuna with lime, quinoa flavored with herbs and avocado. Its chef has worked at the hotel Lutetia restaurant in France, and his chief assistant has received French training as well. In summertime, you can enjoy a meal on its open air terrace, which surrounded by historic buildings of the Old City is one of the most romantic dining spots in Geneva. Reasonable prices and for some dishes a half-portion option available as well. Starters in average CHF 20 (half-portion CHF 12), main course - CHF 36 - 42.
