Marlborough Fine Art Gallery

Author: Anothertravelguide.com0 COMMENTS

Definitely one of the most influential leaders of the art market: you will find its stall in all the finest and most important art shows, the number one of which is, without doubt, Art Basel. Founded in the post-war period (in 1946) when London cemented its position as the marketplace of modernism, Marlborough Fine Art holds six to seven art exhibitions a year and calls itself „the leading dealer of modern and contemporary art".
The gallery sells pictures and sculptures by extremely famous artists and makes a point of reminding that its staff are supreme experts of the modern art market and the product itself. Marlborough caters to private collections and museums. It has branches in New York, Madrid, Monte Carlo and Santiago.
