Maze

If your aim is to experience as many combinations of flavours as possible and you are open to original ideas served on a plate, Maze is expecting you in one of the best culinary districts of London, just opposite the building of the U.S. Embassy. This restaurant owned by Gordon Ramsay is a gathering place not only for tourists but also local celebrities, politicians and aficionados of the art of gastronomy.
You will always be welcome here, unless dressed in sportswear which is not allowed by Maze dress code.
Under the guidance of head chef Jason Atherton, Maze, a modern restaurant with contemporary décor, offers a new philosophy: foreswear the three-course principle, tasting as many wonders of gastronomy as possible instead. For mere GBP 6-11 you can sample a number of starters, main courses and two kinds of sandwiches. But there is a but - the servings are just large enough for tasting purposes. A customer with a heftier appetite will just have to order several focusing on a separate dish, which means that everything you order will be carefully and professionally prepared.
The golden logo embellished on each of the custom-made tables at Maze is a constant reminder that you are enjoying the pleasant ambience of a restaurant where everyone can be lucky enough to meet a celebrity - or feel like one themselves.
Maze is so popular with the local and visiting restaurant-goers that you would do wise to book a table in advance, especially if you are interested in dining at the Chef's Table, where, accompanied by the buzz of the restaurant's kitchen, Tony Blair and George Bush have made fateful decisions. The Chef's Table for 6 is available only at the official lunch and dinner hours. If you wish to place an exclusive reservation, it will cost you GBP 510-630. Smoking is only allowed in the bar.

Open: for lunch Monday-Saturday 12 pm - 2.30 pm
