Song Que

Song Que

Appearances can be deceiving and it's ever so true speaking of a small Vietnamese eatery Song Que. It features an authentic Vietnamese cuisine and despite its plain looks has become a foodies' destination and a popular spot on London's multinational gastronomic scene. It boasts a huge menu, yet, typically to Vietnamese cooking, everything is fresh and healthy. Frequenters have memorized their favorite dishes by numbers and the place is always packed full. Eatery attracts a colorful crowd of people of various backgrounds and nationalities, waiters are constantly at a run and orders arrive almost instantaneously. A table cannot be booked in advance and perhaps you'll have to wait for a while but, taking into account the crammed room, waiters manage to dissolve the queue incredibly fast.
Nothing can really compare to savory tastes of the simplest Vietnamese street eateries, yet Song Que has come amazingly close to it. Traditional pho soups, seafood, grilled beef in betel leaves - fine Vietnam fare and a portion of this country's atmosphere in the East End of London.
