Rose Bakery

The Rose Bakery is a terrific place for breakfast, tea or a light lunch in creative and fashionable company. The café can be found inside designer Rei Kawakubo's Comme des Garçons fashion retail shop, on the top floor of London's most intriguing concept store, the Dover Street Market (DSM). London's Rose Bakery is the youngest sister of a surprisingly successful chain that was opened in Paris in 2002 by the Anglo-French couple Rose and Jean-Charles Carrarini. The café is small and there are only about 20 places at its single, long wooden table, so getting a seat during the lunchtime rush can be a real challenge, but is certainly worth the effort. The Rose Bakery serves delicious and satisfying salads, as well as the fine creations of quiche master Jean-Charles. Rose's carrot cake has attained cult status among the epicurean set. Here, in the epicentre of the fashion world, you can browse the pages of the latest fashion magazines as you drink your morning coffee in a cosy window seat overlooking a breathtaking panorama of London's rooftops.
