Darkroom

Search for creative points of connection between diverse creative industries and thus - also a platform for new ideas - is one of the most typical traits of our time. Darkroom, a new store that recently opened its doors in London, is yet another embodiment of the concept. It presents an attempt to push the traditional limits of fashion, industrial design and art, encouraging to view the materials, forms, aesthetics and application seemoingly typical of each of these areas from a completely different angle. The huge quilted wraps are reminiscent of eiderdowns; pieces of jewellery, twisted like thick ropes, look more like elements of interior décor. A visit to Darkroom is worth the while, if only in search for inspiration: most of the items are unique and cannot be seen anywhere else.
