Matthew Marks Gallery

In 1990s Matthew Marks was one of the best known SoHo gallerists, a great lover of loud names and courageous decisions. Later the gallery moved to Chelsea, settling into a converted warehouse and becoming one of the pioneers of the now famous gallery district. It is still one of the most visited addresses for enthusiasts of contemporary art - fans of Nan Goldin, Sam Taylor-Wood, Andrea Gursky, Inez van Lamsweerde and others.

522 West 22nd Street, Chelsea
