Neue Gallery

This gallery has been founded by Ronald Lauder, the boss of the American cosmetic giant Estée Lauder, and, dedicated entirely to 20th century German and Austrian art and design, is most famous with its impressive Klimt collection.
And then, of course, there is Café Sabarsky, a little piece of Vienna in the heart of New York. White and brown marble mantelpiece and table tops, walnut-panelled walls, a Bösendorfer harpsichord. Apple strudel is served at breakfast time; at lunchtime you can treat yourself to some goulash.
