Inamo

Author: Gundega Skudriņa0 COMMENTS

A popular opinion is that contemporary people can feel perfectly happy only when they can control everything going on around them. Hence, London-based oriental cuisine restaurant Inamo strives to fulfill this desire by putting an entire control over ones dining experience at the very fingertips of its guests.
Touch-screen tables allow diners to place their orders from an illustrated menu projected right on their surface. When the choice is confirmed, an interactive ordering experience is interrupted for some moments by an inconspicuous-looking waiter, discretely setting food in front of you.
Guests can select the most appealing tabletop design and, while waiting for food, turn it into a playing field for noughts and crosses or battleships. Or else, access a virtual map to contemplate one's future travel destinations and even order a taxi! Here you can observe adults turning into kids again, surrendering to the cursed and praised lure of the virtual world.
Inamo is an amusing, unpretentious and nicely decorated dining option for an acceptable price, comfortably located in London's stylish Soho area. It offers excellent food (although servings are a bit smallish) and has received several award nominations during its three years of operation.
