Zuma
Zuma is one of the most favorite destinations of London gourmands'. It offers not only eating and drinking but also its special style and atmosphere. Natural wood, granite and glass elements are joined together, creating a harmonious interior of this Japanese restaurant, where a touch of Easter philosophy can be sensed on every step.
Zuma takes much pride in its culinary masters and 12 to 14 guests can have an opportunity to relish a meal, sitting at the chef's table, surrounded by the chef Rainer Becker himself and all of cook's mates. For the more intimate atmosphere, Zuma has 2 rooms that are separated from the big one by traditional Japanese latticed partitions, and can host about 12 people. Sitting on soft pillows in a truly Japanese fashion, for average of 40 pounds, one can taste not only large variety of sushi but also chicken wings with sea salt and lime, green tea and a banana cake with cocoa nut ice-cream and peanut sauce, as well as special Zuma cocktails.

Amaya
Hiding in a quiet passage of Knightsbridge, one of the most expensive residential areas of London, is restaurant Amaya. Although being just 5 minutes walking distance from Harvey Nichols, still this, possibly the best Indian cuisine in London, located amidst the small alleys, is not the easiest restaurant to find.
Against all expectations, Amaya surprises with a modern lounge style interior, with just a few designer details reminding of India. It is done ever so subtly, creating a feeling that you are dining in a very fashionable restaurant. This lovely place with its quiet atmosphere and dim lights has attracted businesslike persons, most of them men, finding it very comfortable for discussing their business matters. Maybe that is why its atmosphere can be hardy called romantic. For a more intimate conversation booking of a table for two can be advised, on the other hand, guests who wish to spend a relaxed evening in a wider circle, can enjoy a meal at the big table or the beautifully lighted bar, with no empty seats to be found there. The recommendation is not only to book in advance, as Amaya has become very popular among the Londoners and the guests of the city, but also to call at the same day, confirming that tonight your will really come.
Not so typical to Indian culinary traditions, in stead of profusion, gastronomic marvels in Amaya are served in a truly Japanese style - in small servings and with just a touch of curry. Portions are so small that ordering a second course you will be able to delight your stomach with just four tiny bits of chicken. Beautifully presented and appetizing, the chef Karunesh Khanna offers a fantastic, steamed and falling off the bone lamb as well as freshly prepared cheese with curry sauce. To say nothing about excellent wines and pomegranates dessert! Summing up, a meal meant more for relishing then satiating ones apatite, will cost about 50 pounds. Although having no dress code, the Amaya lounge makes you feel irresistible desire to look beautiful and chic in its special atmosphere.
