Ann Demeulemeester's Store in Seoul
Ann Demeulemeester, a Belgian designer, has recently opened her fashion store in Seoul, Korea - one of the most extraordinary boutique projects of today. While the designer's store in Antwerp bears a strong resemblance to an art gallery, not a traditional fashion store, the one in Seoul is an adventure for all the senses. Moreover, it is like a living being - a house enfolded by plants. An exterior of the four storey building features succulent covered walls! It seems like an enchanted forest, having entered the city - much like in the fairytale by Imants Ziedonis. In Korean metropolis, scanty in greenery, it looks like a lush oasis in an urban desert. Designed by a Korean architectural office Mass Studies, its features a top floor restaurant, too.
