An Oasis of Hedonism
Singapore's hotel chain Banyan Tree has just opened their forth hotel at Maldives. Banyan Tree Maldives Madivaru is an oasis of hedonism in the literal sense. Banyan Tree is renowned for its small refined luxury lodgings, respecting a surrounding environment and its traditions. The villas-tents offered by Banyan Tree Maldives Madivaru are not characteristic to Maldives till now. Probably to those, who have visited India, they might bring associations with maharajah style luxury tents - just in this case not in Rajasthan desert, but at the shore of the Indian Ocean. Each villa comprises three individual tents, equipped to function as living, sleeping, and bath areas. Whenever you wish, a spacious bath area can be transformed into a room for spa treatments. The hotel features also Boa Keyo - a separate tent accommodating a restaurant and a bar lounge.
The hotel's design ably combines an Eastern style ascetic sensuality and a romantic quality, inherent to this place. Banyan Tree Maldives Madivaru is located on Madivaru Island, justly considered to be one of the most beautiful in the Indian Ocean's North Ari atoll. It features a wonderful lagoon fringed by a white sandy beach and inshore coral reefs with excellent dive spots for those, who are fond of underwater wildlife.
To tell the truth, a price for enjoying this place is commensurate - 3900 dollars per night. During the opening period (until October 31), however, a discount of 50% is offered, provided that you are staying there at least three nights.
