The island of Bali in Indonesia is one of the most desired diving locations for underwater world aficionados. Bali is a very special place, indeed, with unique nature and peaceful ambiance. Less advisable is the heavily commercialized and touristy southern part of the island as diving is quite monotonous and not many corals are left there either. The eastern side, in contrast, e.g., Padang Bay, is a genuine divers' paradise. Although perhaps not entirely intact, the underwater here guarantees meetings with multitudes of warm-water fish. Bali's waters are home to ocean Sunfish or Mola Mola - the heaviest known bony fish in the world. Its width (including its fin) often equals its length. If you are lucky to meet this silvery creature, you may already count that your diving trip has been a great success!
