Yasawa Island Resort & Spa

A four-hand massage provided by two therapists in a harmonious rhythm to the sound of the waves on a spa terrace, overlooking a lonely beach.
Natural body scrubs, as a component using untouched Vula Walu beach sand. A relaxing full body Vakacegu massage as well as Yasawa energizing massage, using traditional Fiji "Bobo" technique and a sandalwood essence. A soothing body wrap in fresh banana leaves, harvested in the nearby village - leaving your skin soft and silky.
The spa is hidden on one of the most remote and unspoiled islands of the Fiji archipelago - an ideal place for those, who love simple and natural beauty. Barawi Spa, with its reed-roof - also situated right on the sandy beach - the same way as Yasawa Island Resort offers exquisite simplicity. The owners of 18 bungalows and spa scattered among palm trees - Maggie and Garth Downey - loves and respect local culture and traditions. Interiors feature traditional art, accommodations are equipped with discrete open-air showers and solely local timber and other materials are used in buildings. Just the most essential modern amenities are available, like air-conditioning, and a couple more. Television, most certainly, is not on this list. It is one of the most isolated and carefree nooks of the world, where you can be yourself, embracing your heart's desires. There are 11 wild and devoid of tourists' beaches and few tiny villages to visit - that's all. On the other hand - an abundance of fish and ocean wildlife, with a plenty of activities to indulge - fishing, diving and savoring of excellent sea food. Very simple and a bit more elegant motorboats are cruising among islands and - to be true - there is even a local airport, linking the Fiji with the rest of the world. The native Fijians have 15 words meaning "Paradise" - and the first one of them is Yasawa.
Conde Nast Johansens Luxury Hotel Guide, 2006 has given Yasawa Island Resort the title of The Winner of Most Excellence Romantic Hideaway, 2006. Baravi Spa is just newly opened this year and all the awards are still ahead and, to appearances, they will surely come.
