Klitmøller, in the North of Denmark, offers ideal surfing conditions. Winds and waves of the North Sea is everything one might wish, making this spot a true surfers' magnet, even though there is not a single hotel! Actually, apart from a petrol station and Spar supermarket, there is nothing much at all. At Klitmøller the whole entertainment starts and ends with the sea! Small restaurants open up during the summer only and the closest hotels are within a radius of ten to twenty kilometers. Hotels are quite pricey in Denmark anyway, making it reasonable to rent lodging from the locals. Rooms offered through agencies are of various price and comfort level and distance from the sea - in summer a bit more costly then in autumn. It's a good choice for a family or a bunch of friends - you can cook your own meals and spend some cozy time by the fireplace in the evening. Speaking of food - you have to accept whatever Spar can provide, but wishing to have fresh fish, you can buy it from fishermen a bit outside Klitmøller.
