The Small, Charming Village

The most beautiful natural setting I have ever come about to visit - yet, following expert's advice. Les Baux is a small village in the south of France (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, or simply Riviera) that, most certainly, has a rich cultural history, although, that is not a point here. It is located in mountains - to be more precise - on the top of a mountain. Yet, not just mountains surround the place, but huge rocks. Unusual, elevated feeling takes over here - and you just look around and marvel. In places like that one often regrets of not having born there. The village itself is lovely too - old houses, people on restaurant terraces eating their foie gras, consuming white wine instead of mineral water and gazing at the olive groves in the distance. And there is no feeling what so ever that European Union had expanded.
