The Small, Charming Village

The most beautiful natural setting I have ever come about to visit - yet, following expert's advice. Les Baux is a small village in the south of France (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur , or simply Riviera) that, most certainly, has a rich cultural history, although, that is not a point here. It is located in mountains - to be more precise - on the top of a mountain. Yet, not just mountains surround the place, but huge rocks. Unusual, elevated feeling takes over here - and you just look around and marvel. In places like that one often regrets of not having born there. The village itself is lovely too - old houses, people on restaurant terraces eating their foie gras , consuming white wine instead of mineral water and gazing at the olive groves in the distance. And there is no feeling what so ever that European Union had expanded.
