Café des Deux Moulins, Amélie (2001)

Café des Deux Moulins, Amélie (2001)

There are countless cafés in Paris that could only dream of the fate of Café des Deux Moulins, which, thanks to Jean-Pierre Jeune's five-Oscar nominated grown-up fairytale Amélie, was transformed virtually overnight from the Cinderella of Montmartre to a princess. Who knows, maybe wonders will happen and some day Amélie (Audrey Tautou) will once more serve crème brûlées here. Otherwise, the Café des Deux Moulins is pretty similar to numerous other shabbily chic Parisian cafés, with net curtains, nicotine-stained ceilings, a marble counter and 1950s interior.
