CINEMA METROPOLITAN

For decades the four-auditoria Metropolitan, located at the beginning of Via del Corso, just off Piazza del Popolo, has been serving as one of the main film premiere venues in Rome. It used to belong to the father of the famous filmmaker Roberto Rossellini who also owned Rome's Cinema Barberini. Rossellini later claimed that the most important part of his professional education had been watching movies for free in his dad's picture theatres.
