Forte Village is a hotel and apartment complex in Sicily. It's about one hour drive from Palermo in the direction of Sirakuza, with the nearest village being Marzamemi. It's a favorite spot of Italians themselves and a number of tourists is relatively small there. Who knows, you may even catch a glimpse of some Roman football team players - they say that these guys love to change a grassy field for waves exactly there. During spring and summer the weather conditions are just ideal for windsurfing - no threat of sitting on the beach and waiting for wind to set in. And good quality English equipment is available for rent on the beach. Anything you might need is there - including boards, catamarans and even yachts. Local restaurants feature excellent fish cuisine. Although there are some hotels in the village, I suggest choosing bungalow type lodging. Nearby sports and children playgrounds, a market place and a parking lot with a car rental makes it even more convenient. A price level, however, is slightly above the average.
