Working Space (Darba vieta)

Working Space (Darba vieta)

The concept of Working Space (Darba vieta in Latvian) is rooted in freelance lifestyle and philosophy. The bottom line is that the best recipe for becoming immune to economic crisis is to concentrate on doing things that one loves and is capable of. It's also important to create a suitable workspace where communication and socialization are vital part of it. "It's not a revolution of work - it's an evolution of life," goes the motto of Darba vieta. Housed in two accommodations, it serves as a workspace for graphic designers, photographers, video animation artists and even seamstresses - approximately 30 people altogether. A monthly rent is 71 EUR, but an agreement for a shorter period can be made, too. Its concept is to create a workspace for a group of likeminded freelancers for their individual work and to host lectures and other themed events. It's a convenient solution as Working Space is available 24/7 and provides for the basic office needs - printing, copying, wi-fi services as well as tea and coffee.
