The English Bookshop

Author: Pauls Bankovskis0 COMMENTS

I have no idea if there are many tourists who go to Amsterdam looking for bookshops, but, should anyone ever think of doing exactly that, The English Bookshop (unlike the outlet of the Waterstone's bookselling chain on the other side of the street) would probably make the best destination for such a trip. There is a pleasant sort of ostensible mess, just like in all really good bookstores, and that makes it a nice alternative to the library you have left at home or on your desert island.
