The Restaurant at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Contamporaneo Reina Sofia

It is one of the most extravagant among museums restaurants, as well as among those of Madrid too. Located in an exclusive place - the new expansion of the Queen Sofia's Museum, designed by a French architect Jean Nouvel. Its host, in his turn, is Catalonian culinary legend, a chef with two Michelin stars, Sergi Arola (his restaurant also La Broche in Madrid, besides, the last 6 years he has spent in El Bulli, a luminary among restaurants). A contemporary interior with a futuristic touch - dominating colors - red and black, minimalist approach. Free and easy atmosphere, maybe not too cozy - a room is very spacious, somewhat resembling a foyer. However, the restaurant's well-balanced and tasteful interior makes a great background for Arola's gastronomic experiments with textures, taste and colors (on the plates, of course). Standing out there is only food itself, and of course - guests. It is a contemporary Spanish haute cuisine. Arola's concept is daring - if the museum collection with Picasso, Miró and Salvador Dalí, challenges visitors' aesthetical perception, the restaurant is doing the same with their taste buds. The advice is to choose a degustation menu - it's a true experience for ones taste. Take a note that food alone will cost about 70 - 90 Euro.
