Montreal Jazz Festival
Author: Māris Briežkalns0 COMMENTS
During the Montreal Jazz Festival, taking place at the end of June, beginning of July, several blocks of the city are closed to traffic. Jazz artists occupy every park, bar and café of the city then, presenting their listeners with a non-stop music celebration. Diana Kral, B.B. King, Tony Bennett, Charlie Haden and Woody Allen adorned the festival with their presence in 2008. Pretty often special programs are prepared by musicians who normally never perform together, giving an opportunity to enjoy unexpected duets or trios. Blues, reggae, Cuban, Brazilian, African and Latin jazz - all those are much loved and listened in Montreal.
